“The Platform”

“A little box should pop up at the bottom of the screen every 15 minutes, and in the box is the text “I Get It.” Once you get it, you can click away from the movie, because once you get it, there’s not a whole lot else here.

You know what’s really weird about this movie? Why is my dude in the prison thing as a volunteer? How does that even work? He was like, “Oh, I figured I’d get some time to read or something?” What?

So then he’s just in there with horrible murderers and shit? How does that even work?

Was this like a Con Air situation where we had to get the main dude in prison, but we didn’t want the audience to think he was a bad guy, so we cook up some cockamamie reason for him to be there? That’s all I can come up with.

Little tip: If you want to just take some time to yourself and read, go sit at the library all day. It’s basically the same thing as the Platform. Plenty of weirdos who may or may not be dangerous as hell, people pee on things they’re not supposed to, young idealists use the space to read dense books about stuff they desperately want to be asked about. It’s a trip!”
