“The songs could’ve been stupider. What I mean is, in the show, musical numbers often pop up from things that don’t seem like they’d warrant musical numbers, which is awesome. In the movie, the songs were a little more like what you’d expect from a musical.
Though there is one hilarious number where I’m pretty sure the joke is that you’re not really supposed to be able to understand what the hell the performer is singing, 10/10.
I just saw the two-part Blade Runner parody on the regular series, and I’m like 90% sure that came about because all the good ideas were going into the movie, so they were like, “Let’s just kind of do this Blade Runner thing.”
All that said, kudos for doing the Bob Burger’s movie maybe like 2 years too late instead of like 15 years too late, which is how it seems to go with this movies that become shows.
Although I would sort of like it if they made a Bob’s Burgers movie in like 50 years. That’d be pretty hilarious.”
