“This was a great volume for people who aren’t all that familiar with Spider-Man, and it’s got plenty of stuff that bigtime fans will love, too. Chip Zdarsky gets Spider-Man. He just does.
It’s a great concept (what if Spider-Man was bitten by a radioactive spider and aged normally, making him an old man in present times?), and it’s done with a lot of heart. It does what a good outside-continuty story does, which is staying true to a character’s core while placing them in different circumstances.
Oh, and Bagley returns to Spider-Man!? Sign me up.”
