“Secretimes”

“I saw this shelved by someone as “abstract comics,” and that’s probably the best way to phrase it when you’re confronted with something that just has no narrative or sense or really even dialog.

I would probably have a shelf for this called “Stuff Just Happens.” Things just happen, and not in a Ghost World way where it’s sort of like, yeah man, life just happens. In a way where it’s like two hobos shoot a guy, then stuff happens to them, then there’s like…the government trying to get this other guy to work for them? And put on a space suit or something?

The drawings are good, they’re fun to look at, but I would WAY rather see a bunch of Keith Jones’ art in a gallery or blown up huge somewhere than see it try to tell a story.”
