“I don’t know, seemed like there were about 15 different characters, but none that were all that interesting. The book felt a little disjointed to me, like you’d get a page of story A, then quick cut to story B, then Story C, and it felt like it cut between parallel stories at awkward points. I just couldn’t get the hang of the rhythm.
Also, word of advice: if your dad is police chief of your small town, do not become a police officer in the same small town. I don’t even want to work at a restaurant where my dad eats occasionally in a medium-sized city. “
