暗殺教室 1 [Ansatsu Kyoushitsu 1] by Yūsei Matsui
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Preposterous and great.
Here’s the deal:
This weird octopus creature guy blew the moon apart, then said that he would do the same to Earth in one year, however during the waiting period, he would teach a single class of students who were invited to try and assassinate him all the time, all year.
It makes no sense, which is what makes it great. Also, flavors of Peter Parker in being a powerful, world-destroying monster who doesn’t have enough cash for a hot meal.
It gets a little “O Captain my captain” here and there, but overall, fun premise. Which I think is the strength of most of the manga I’ve read. If you read the first volume to maybe…5 volumes of most storylines, you’ll get enough without going overboard. One man’s opinion.
