“Twisty and kind of fun, although I wish the POV switch didn’t make you watch the entirety of the first 30 minutes twice ALL THE WAY THROUGH. It ended up feeling like they put the movie together, it’s pretty clever, and then they wanted to make sure you know how absolutely every piece fit together, and I think the movie would’ve fared a little better if you had to rely on your memory for some of what was going on. Once the cleverness kicks in, I can do the math on the rest, and they probably didn’t need to manage the viewer quite so hard.
That said, doesn’t go where you’re expecting. If you watch the first 20-30 minutes and aren’t feeling it, I’d say hang in a little longer, it improves a good deal once they’ve set up all the pieces and are ready to start knocking them down.”
