For me…I think it ALMOST went there, but it didn’t. The one girl is afflicted and probably not going to live terribly long. And then there’s a lot of talk about death. And it ALMOST goes there, talking about how this little lady is doomed, but it sort of backs away from explicitly going there. Like it doesn’t 100% connect the two stories, the dead people around and the soon-to-be-dead person and how her sister is dealing with it. That’s a missed opportunity for me, but again, that’s maybe too adult a perspective.
