“Father of the Bride”

“I feel like this movie would be extra good if you watched it when you were 17 and then again when you were 37.

I mostly identified with the Steve Martin character, the titular father, and found myself saying, “You know, marrying someone you knew for 4 months, at age 22, before ever introducing them to your parents…is a bit unreasonable.”

But it’d be that whole, “The same man can never step into the same river twice thing” if I’d seen it before. Except it’d be, “The same man can never laugh at the same Steve Martin movie twice.” “
