Book Reports and How I Would Fake Them if I Were Sent Back in Time

For my book, I read Fantastic Mr. Fox.  This book is about a Fox who is a man and is really a wonderful kind of guy.  I would say that he is fantastic like the book says, but there are also some things about him that are not so fantastic and make it so he has some growing stuff to do before the end of the book, which I don’t want spoilt for everyone.  Also, I won’t be spoiling the character names, general plot, or any other details that might take away from the book, such as the author’s name.

This month I read the Giver.  The Giver is a really old man with a crazy beard.  From what I’ve gathered, he kills babies for some reason.  It’s the future, so who knows?  Most books about killing babies are pretty interesting.  So are news stories about killing babies, which are probably the best.  I heard this one about a group of people who were all living in an apartment in Paris, and when one guy got up during the night the other people all thought he was the devil for some reason.  So then all the people jumped out of a window to get away, and a baby died because someone jumped out the window with it.  That’s messed up, huh?

Anyway, the Giver.

Umm…Fuck?  Is that enough to get me suspended?

The Phantom Tollbooth.  I didn’t care for this book.  For one thing, the cover is a shade of aqua that you just don’t see anymore, and then this puke green/brown dog thrown on there is just too much.  And this kid, what an idiot he looks like here.  Also, what a terrible font.  Not very up-to-date.  You can get so many free fonts online, there’s really no excuse for using an outdated one.  Oh, and the clock is very distracting.  I don’t feel like the cover tells us much about the story either, which is REALLY too bad for me.
