Although, maybe because lifespans were quite a bit shorter, there weren’t too many people around to remember or know the difference, so it’d be a little harder to heard old people whinging about how things were better back in the day.
Maybe this would work out, too. If you put the seeds out there about being some kind of great legend, with so little ability to record things and so few people living long enough to be like, “Hey, that’s not how it happened…” maybe it’d be easier to make it seem like you were a great guy, when really you’re just a regular guy.
