I just read that Kentaro Miura died before finishing Berserk.
Shit. SHIT.
Okay, then I read that a close friend is planning to finish the book based on notes and things left behind by Miura.
Here’s a quote:
“I will only write the episodes that Miura talked to me about. I will not flesh it out. I will not write episodes that I don’t remember clearly. I will only write the lines and stories that Miura described to me.”
Well…I can’t decide if that’s good or bad. I mean, it’s good that we’ll get to see the ending, and I feel good about the idea that it’s going to be an ending that sticks closely to Mirua’s ideas. But, man, that just sucks.
Doesn’t it feel really stupid when you get into an author or a band or whatever, and then you find out they JUST died? Like, they brought so much goodness to your life, and they’re already gone. “
