Found this nice Seal album on the donation rack. And no, it’s not the good Seal album. You’re thinking of the one called the Batman Forever Soundtrack with the Kiss From A Rose song.
This is not that album.
Here’s the weird part. I pick this thing up, and it’s textured. Raised lettering, and the outline of Seal is raised just a little bit. So you could feel it with your fingers if you wanted to fondle a very small version of Seal’s head.
The detail on the raised parts, the bevel, is pretty good. His ears, his eyes, his lips are all textured. Oh, and also the huge scars on his face.
!
So just in case you weren’t having enough fun putting your fingers on his lips and in his nose holes, you can also finger his giant face scars.
What a nice thing for record companies to do.
Do you this was Seal’s idea? I feel like it would be weird for the graphic designer to spend a good eight hours designing in a CAD program the bevel to really express Seal’s facial scars. But it would be even weirder if you had to present this to him, right?
“Okay, it’s cool if you hate it. But uh…well, it’s cool if you hate it. Um. Here.”
I’m not necessarily mocking the face scars here. God knows if they gave me this treatment someone running a finger along my jawline would probably think they were touching a flattened golf ball. Why no, sir! That’s simply an adolescence of painful and lasting acne!
If they can do this, does it mean my dream of releasing an album with a tactile butt crack photo is finally within reach? You know that whole saying about reach for the moon and something something you’ll something the stars? I always took that to mean that I could someday have an album where you could feel my butt crack.
