You might want to give this another try. Do not. Don’t start at volume 1 and try to get back on board. You’ll feel like you know what’s happening, sort of, for a good 4 volumes. But then it all just explodes into feathers and colors and sparkles. Which sounds great, but it’s not all that fun.
Perhaps if you gain immortality between now and then, so, hey, you might as well read everything. In that case I won’t stop you from reading this, but you haven’t even read all of Cormac McCarthy’s books, for god’s sake. Maybe try those first.”
