“The title story was pretty good, but some of the backups were excellent.

The title story had a really good mix of supernatural and real drama, and that worked here in a way that Ito’s work didn’t always hit for me. Weirdly, it was more grounded than a lot of his other stuff, less nightmare, more “I made a terrible decision” kind of stuff. I’d hate for all of Ito’s stuff to be like this, but it makes for a good read.”
