“Kicking off the new year right!
You might be wondering about the capitalization choices in this book’s title. Don’t fret, it’s not a cheap, accidental thing, a mess-up that’s so common in self-publishing.
The weird capitalization scheme is a necessity because Get Him Off is the main character’s NAME. Yes, first name Get, last name…Him Off? Maybe just Off with Him in the middle? Not sure.
Anyway, Get is a lawyer who dresses like a pimp of sorts. Flashy suits and what’s only described as a musketeer hat. Actually, that’s not fair. The hat is also described as costing $1000.
This book contains what has to be the most hilarious defense of all time. You thought the Twinkie defense was outrageous? What about defending your client, a shooter who killed a nun in broad daylight after shooting her nine times, by saying the shooter was merely trying to kill a bat that was hovering above the nun when he lost control of his gun, and the gun went off on accident. Nine times.
Not good enough? How about something along the lines of, “Ladies and gentleman, the prosecution says my client looks like a criminal. Well, I’m a lawyer, and I dress like a pimp.”
Touche.
I’m just hoping to eventually get the Get Him Off/Agent Cold Beer mash-em-up the world deserves.”
